So, how precisely does Face Mapping jobs? The Dermalogica professionals began by asking each of our members about their lifestyle, general health concerns, exfoliation experience, and sun sensitivity, and then performed a visual evaluation of the skin using a Dermalogica-exclusive procedure. This entailed touching the skin and then reading it using the ancient Chinese Facial Diagnosis technique to look for signs of internal organ health.

The dermatologist then divided their skin into 14 zones using the Dermalogica Face Map. The Expert was able to identify breakouts, redness, dryness, and pigmentation in each zone. They also used their hands to feel the skin for 'hot spots,' which might suggest tension, oiliness or dryness, or congestion. As you can see, this service entails more than just a facialist gazing at your face — it's a whole skin study.

Our members were also given a variety of additional Dermalogica treatments, such as a skin analysis using a black light equipment that examines deep into the skin and hand massages, during the event.
